Title I is a federal program to provide reading and math interventions for at-risk students. As one of two schools in the district that qualify for school-wide Title I status, Eastside’s teachers and administrators meet five times per school year to collaborate, review needs, update their programs, and plan for parent advisory meetings.
The Title I parent advisory board meets twice per school year and includes the Title I teachers, paraeducators, administrators, and parent representatives.

Intervention and Enrichment
All grades have a daily intervention and enrichment period. This means that all students break out into small groups based on their math and reading needs. Grouping is flexible and fluid, allowing students to move in and out of groups according to progress.
Title I teachers and classroom teachers work closely to share student data and determine what learning targets to meet during the intervention and enrichment period.
