We really do have such a wonderful faculty and staff at Eastside. Last week, ten of our outstanding faculty and staff volunteered (4) full days of their summer vacation to attend Boys Town Training. This evidence-based intervention program provides practical strategies to address behavior which creates more positive and calmer classrooms. It is also known to reduce challenging behavior, improve students’ physical and emotional safety, and increase student and teacher satisfaction all while motivating both students and educators to engage in positive interactions and prosocial behaviors.
There aren't very many people who would be willing to give up (4) days of vacation for volunteer training. Our faculty and staff are some of the most sacrificial professional educators I know, and we are so blessed to have them at Eastside!
This is a Friendly Reminder that tonight is the KRC Parent Orientation at Sunset! Come meet the camp teachers and visit the classrooms before we kick off!
